Luiz Carlos Trabuco Confirms New President And Vice President, Bradesco

The next president has been confirmed by Luiz Carlos Trabuco to be Octavio de Lazari Junior. Octavio de Lazari Junior has his Graduates degree in Economics he earned from, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Science of Osasco. Octavio de Lazari Junior also has a specialization in Financial and Marketing from Fundacao Instituto de Administracao.

Octavio de Lazari Junior will become Bradesco’s 5th president, and it will be made official during the AGO (Ordinary General Assembly) meeting scheduled for March 2018, according to Luiz Carlos Trabuco. Octavio de Lazari Junior began his career in 1978, becoming an Agency Manager was one of first promotion with Bradesco. Octavio de Lazari Junior, in 1998 focused the resources of Bradesco’s credit department on small and medium size company, as the Director of Credit. Octavio de Lazari Junior was the Department Director of Loans and Financing in 2010. In 2012 Octavio de Lazari Junior was appointed to the Board of Director Officers, and would be the Executive Officer and Vice President of the Directors Officers. Luiz Carlos Trabuco did mention there was some added pressure from within the company, because not everyone was in support of Octavio de Lazari Junior being the next president.


Luiz Carlos Trabuco began back in 1969 with Bradesco. Luiz Carlos Trabuco started as a bank clerk in Marilia, the city he was born and the city the bank was founded in 1943. Luiz Carlos Trabuco, decided to move from Marilia to Sao Paulo where he soon became the Director of Marketing. As the new Director of Marketing, Luiz Carlos Trabuco set out to improve the relationship Bradesco had, at that time with media. Luiz Carlos Trabuco encourage a culture the bank’s public relations, by creating a more open environment that allows media access to the company. From 1992 up until 1998, Luiz Carlos Trabuco became the Executive Director and President of Bradesco’s private pension company. Luiz Carlos Trabuco, was Executive Vice President of Bradesco, and Chief Executive until 2005. Luiz Carlos Trabuco would be appointed President in 2009, becoming Bradesco’s 4th person to hold that title. During his presidency, Luiz Carlos Trabuco in 2015 secured a record breaking deal of $5.2 billion to by HSBC. The decision to buy HSBC was approved by former president and Chairman of the council Lazaro Brandao.

Lazaro Brandao has been with Bradesco for 75 years, and a member of the council for 27 years. Luiz Carlos Trabuco confirmed Lazaro Brandao would be retiring. The added pressure of the 2015 acquisition of HSBC, the retirement of Lazaro Brandao, and with the appointment of Octavio de Lazari Junior to be the new president, who was the vice president, now leaves a void in the vice president postion. Carlos Alberto Rodrigues Guilherme will now take over as the new Vice President, who has been with the company since he was 13. Lazaro Brandao increased the age limit of the president from 65 years up to 67 years, to give Luiz Carlos Trabuco more time to finalize things during all these changes and transitions of power and responsibilities.
