Hello, Control

The Militia Group

Brandtson, a long-lived Indie pop/rock band, combines the catchiness of pop with the intensity of rock and the driving beats of electronic music. This band definitely has the potential to be chart-toppers in the near future. Nearly every song on Hello, Control is so memorable it’s nearly impossible to not sing along.

Tracks such as “Nobody Dances Anymore”—an impeccably written and produced should-be and possibly-will-be hit song—and “Here We Go” are akin to something typically heard on the local alternative rock radio station. I have yet to hear Brandtson on the radio, but I certainly will not be surprised when they become a household name. Lyrically, Brandtson can be quite trite, but deeply insightful lyrics are not the point of this music. This band’s originality lies in their well-balanced combination of rock and dance music.

Brandtson has the ability to turn a track that would otherwise sound like “just another pop song” into a captivating bob-your-head-while-you-listen experience. Exceptionally crafted melodies combined with an inherent danceable nature will keep you coming back for more.
